AUCTION SELLING  There are two ways to sell your motorcycle: unreserved or reserved. An unreserved motorcycle sells to the highest bidder. A sliding scale (see scale on Consignment Registration page) based on the sale price of the bike is charged. (Note:  The minimum commission fee is $200, therefore, if your motorcycle sells for less than $2,000 your commission fee will be a flat fee of $200 per lot number).  Consignment fees charged for unreserved entries are refundable after the sale of the motorcycle.  On a reserved motorcycle, you set the minimum selling price (you do have the right to drop your reserve on the block and accept the highest bid, but your consignment fee remains non-refundable). A sliding scale commission of the selling price is charged, and there is a non-refundable consignment fee of $150 if received by February 15, 2011, and $200 thereafter per entry. There will be a $200 minimum seller's commission charged per lot number. We reserve the right to refuse consignments with unreasonable reserves or motorcycles deemed not suitable for the auction.   The more exposure your entry gets, the more interest it will generate, so it is best to get your entry in by February 15th take advantage of the discounted consignment fee and the additional exposure the on line catalog will give your motorcycle.  The auction facility will be accepting delivery of pre-registered auction motorcycles beginning on Tuesday, March 8th and then daily from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. through Thursday,  March 10th.  If you need to drop your bike off earlier, please contact Glenn on his cell phone at 805-798-1802 to make arrangements.  PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO A SCHEDULE CHANGE OF THE RACES, THIS YEAR THE PARTS AUCTION IS ON THURSDAY, MARCH 10TH AND THE MOTORCYCLE AUCTION WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, MARCH 11TH.

TIPS FOR SELLING  Consign your motorcycle early so we can advertise it for you. You can enter your motorcycle on line, or mail us the form along with the photos and we will put the images on the auction website for you. Send us up to three photos using a neutral background—like a white garage door. When you register on line, give us as much information about your bike as possible, i.e. does the bike run now, how well, did the bike run when you parked it years ago, mileage, etc.  The more information we have to post on the website, the more interest your bike will generate.  Bring your bike to the auction facility as early as possible, as buyers will be inspecting the motorcycles they want to consider bidding on.  Don't forget to leave the key in the bike so we can start it for the buyers.

SELLERS: CONSIDER THIS  Our sales rate has been over 80% for years! This sale is an international event with buyers coming from all over the world. Our buyers bid with the confidence that they are buying at fair market value. Consider registering your bike unreservedUnreserved bikes always draw more interest and more bids. If we receive your consignment before February 1st we will be able to advertise your bike in the catalog as selling unreserved—attracting more buyers.

TITLES  You must have a good, transferable title in your name, unless you are a dealer or have a notarized power of attorney from the person who's name is on the title. Example: if you have a title that is in "Fred Smith's" name, in order to sell it, you must be Fred Smith or have a notarizedpower of attorney from Fred Smith. We have power of attorney forms and will be happy to send them to you if you call. The only exceptions will be vehicles that are considered "off-road" and do not come with a title. If your state is a non title state, then a registration in your name will serve as a title. If your state will not title or register your bike for you with the paper work you have and your bike is more than 10 years old, you may be able to purchase a title from a title company. Try "Broadway Title Company" at 800-464-3222, or International Title Service at 800-543-8626. Bator International Auctions is not affiliated with either of these companies in any way and by furnishing this information does not assume any responsibility whatsoever.   We cannot accept motorcycles with altered serial numbers.  A licensed, bonded Florida title agent will be available to handle title transfers for a reasonable fee, guaranteeing you the proper paperwork.  There are no exceptions to the above.  You may not sell your bike on an open title.  Titles must be in the name of the current owner.

AUCTION BIKE PICK UP - SELL YOUR BIKE AT DAYTONA WITHOUT LEAVING HOME  We have made arrangements with a Motorcycle Transportation Service to have your motorcycle picked up at your door —anywhere in the country. The freight will be billed to us, and we will deduct it from your settlement after the vehicle is sold. If your motorcycle has a reserve that is not met, you will be responsible for all shipping charges incurred to and from the auction.  We think the rates are reasonable—just call our office to make arrangements: (805) 646-9566. We will sell it for you at the world's best motorcycle auction and mail your check to you 10 business days after the sale. We are licensed and bonded and have the best reputation in the motorcycle industry—call us for details.

AUCTION BUYING  You must register and get a "bidder's number" in order to buy at the auction sale. You will be required to leave a $300 deposit. The deposit is refundable at any time if you do not win any bids.  There is a buyer's premium of 13%, with a 3% discount for cash, bank wire transfers, cashiers checks, bank checks, personal or company checks with pre-approval and a bank letter of guarantee.  There is a minimum buyer's premium of $100 per item, meaning any lot that sells for less than $1,000, will have a set buyer's premium of $100.  Payment in full is due on the day of the sale. Acceptable terms are: cash, bank checks, Traveler's Checks, cashier's checks, wire transfers or personal or business checks from those already on our check approval list.  Clients not on the check approval list are required to be pre-approved and to furnish a bank letter of credit guaranteeing payment. The letter must be currently dated and include the account number to be used and the amount of funds to be covered by the guarantee. CLICK HERE for a Sample Bank Letter of Guarantee.  Other acceptable methods of payment include Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards.   Purchases may be be picked up on Friday after the auction or Saturday morning.  Please note all items must be removed from the auction facility no later than noon on Saturday, March 12th. If you are a dealer or work with a dealer, be sure to bring a copy of the dealer's license and tax resale certificate. * TIPS: Please come to the Auction Center early to check the bikes out.  We will be offering a discount ticket for multiple days, so you can come every day if you like. Don't hesitate to ask us for help.  We will start the motorcycle if we can and give honest opinions about what you are considering.
