Description One of the finest custom motorcycles ever built!!  True craftsmanship throughout, based on a vintage 1951 Vincent Black Shadow Engine #F10AB/1B/6310 (matching numbers NN79/A22A).  This is an orphan engine; the Vincent Owners Club has no record of the original matching frame beyond its delivery to Springfield, MA in the spring of 1951.  In fact, the frame purchased with this engine was sold to another VOC member so it could be reunited with its original engine resulting in another matching numbers Vincent.  Nothing has been cut or modified and this engine could be installed in a stock Vincent frame at any time.  The engine and transmission have been meticulously and completely rebuilt to a very high standard by Vincent specialist and world speed record holder, Steve Hamel.  Modern era upgrades were made to ensure ease of operation, dependability and lightning like performance.  compression ratio is a modest 8 to 1 wit MK II "lightning" cams, ignition is 12 volt ARD magneto and the carbs are 34MM Mikuni.  Engine was polished then satin finished and could readily be painted black if so desired.  This a a "one kick" engine that runs smooth and strong, true to its heritage.  The Redneck  Engineering built chassis was designed to be a stylized tribute to Vincent engineering.  Just like the original, the engine is utilized as a stressed member, the backbone serves as teh oil reservoir and rear suspension (mono-shock) is incorporated.  Several other features are so subtle they should be mentioned as to not be overlooked--all frame and swingarm tubing is elliptical and tapered from wide to narrow, hand formed (English Wheel) symmetrical dual gas tanks, internal throttle, internal compression release on left grip. limited production forge-wire wheels with Avon tyres, original style "STOP" tail light and tubular component triple clamps with low mount bars.  This bike was debuted at renowned motorcycle photographer Michael Lichter's Old Skool/New Skool Custom Bike Show in Sturgis 2006, featured in V-Twin Magazine's July 2007 issue and was invited to display at the 2007 Legends of the Motorcycle Concurs de Elegance in Half Moon Bay.  This one of a kind Vincent Special is a rolling, running work of Motorcycle Art, built to be used, routinely ridden to bike nights and special events.  It remains in very good condition having covered less than 600 miles since being built, has proven extremely dependable and has been a joy to own.  Selling with title.
