| Description |
This beautiful example of the Harley Davidson 8-Valve is the
result of over a twenty year quest to gather and assemble a
true 8-Valve racer from original Harley Davidson race
components. It all started with the discovery of a set of very
rare NOS two cam FHAC cases "still in the factory cosmolene" and
finished with a set of very rare original paint factory long
course 8-Valve racing tanks. This motorcycle only has
three non factory components that had to be added to the mix to
complete the project. Due to the fact that the cylinders
and frame were non existent, reproductions had to be substituted
with the hopes that some day the original parts would be
unearthed and installed on the bike. An all original example of
this model racer has been recorded to have sold for well over
$350,000.00. This 90% original example, only having a few
parts substituted until the real parts can be located, will be
offered at the Daytona auction with a reserve well under the
above mentioned price tag. This bike will be sold with a Bill
of Sale.
