Wonderful example of
the three-speed, magneto equipped Model 16F. The wheel discs were
fitted immediately after WWI and the machine was used in both solo and
sidecar trim before it was sold in 1925 by the original owner to his brother
who immediately got rid of the sidecar. It was ridden solo extensively
for the next 12 or so years, mainly around Edinburgh and the borders.
After being layed up briefly during WWII, it was back in service in 1945 and
used regularly thereafter. It was repainted in its current livery in
the 1950's. Comes with a fascinating letter written in 1963 by the
original owners brother detailing the history of the bike until he sold it. Fully
